California requires school districts and charter schools to annually administer a school climate survey. Student and parent/guardian participation in school climate surveys is voluntary. These surveys are anonymous and provide schools valuable information on our students’ and families’ perspective on numerous topics related to health and safety.
Parents/guardians of students in grades 3-5 will receive communication about the CHKS from their Advisor. Parents/guardians of students in grades 7, 9, and 11 will be sent communication about the CHKS via Parent Square.
For grades 3-5, parents/guardians must give permission for their students to take the survey by submitting an online permission form.
For grades 7, 9, and 11, parents/guardians must specifically communicate to their child’s Learning Center Director that they do not consent for their student to take the survey.
